Ceramic Coatings
Professional Ceramic Coatings.
A ceramic coating is one of the best long-term investments you can make for your vehicle. Every installation at Mirror Finish begins with proper surface preparation to ensure the coating performs exactly as intended for years to come.
What It Is
What a Ceramic Coating Actually Does.
A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your vehicle's paint when cured. Unlike a wax or sealant that sits on top of the paint and washes away over time, a ceramic coating becomes part of the surface. It creates a hard, hydrophobic layer that repels water, resists chemical etching, and makes the paint significantly easier to maintain. It doesn't make the paint scratch-proof. It won't prevent rock chips or deep scratches. What it does is protect the paint from the environmental damage that degrades it over time: UV, bird droppings, road salt, industrial fallout. And it protects the work that went into correcting the paint underneath it.
What It Does
What a Coating Provides.
Hydrophobic Surface
Water beads and sheets off the surface rather than sitting on the paint. This reduces water spotting and makes washing significantly easier and faster.
UV Protection
UV rays cause paint to fade and oxidize over time. A ceramic coating provides a barrier that slows this process considerably, which is particularly important for vehicles parked outdoors.
Chemical Resistance
Bird droppings, tree sap, road salt, and industrial fallout are acidic and can etch paint. The coating provides a sacrificial layer that resists chemical damage, but prompt removal of contaminants is still important.
Enhanced Gloss
A properly applied ceramic coating adds depth and clarity to the paint. On corrected paint, the result is noticeably better than paint sealant or wax.
Easier Maintenance
Dirt and grime don't bond to the surface as readily. Regular maintenance washes take less time and effort, and the paint stays cleaner between washes.
Multi-Year Durability
Depending on the product and how the vehicle is maintained, a ceramic coating can last the life of the vehicle. That's significantly longer than any wax or sealant, but maintenance still matters.
Why Surface Preparation Matters
The Coating Is Only as Good as the Preparation.
A ceramic coating is only as good as the surface it's applied to. Applying a coating over defected, contaminated, or improperly prepared paint locks reduces the longevity of the coating. The coating preserves whatever is underneath it. Every coating we apply is preceded by a full decontamination and, in most cases, paint correction. We don't apply coatings over paint that hasn't been properly prepared.
Paint Correction
Any defects in the paint are corrected before coating. The level of correction depends on the paint's condition, from a light polish to a full multi-stage correction. This step determines the quality of the final result.
Panel Wipe
All panels are wiped with an IPA solution to remove any polish residue and oils. The surface must be completely clean and free of any contamination before coating is applied.
Coating Application
The coating is applied panel by panel in a controlled environment. Each panel is leveled and inspected before moving on. Application technique directly affects how the coating bonds and performs.
Cure Time & Instructions
The coating requires time to cure before the vehicle is exposed to water or contaminants. We provide specific care instructions for the first 7 days after application and a maintenance guide for the life of the coating.

Pricing
Your custom quote.
Each coating package has a fixed product cost — the coating itself is a known quantity. What varies is the preparation. Every vehicle requires a different amount of work before a coating can be applied: paint decontamination, clay bar treatment, and paint correction all depend on the vehicle's current condition and what the paint needs before it's ready to coat.
Your quote will reflect the package you select plus the preparation work your specific vehicle requires. You'll know the full price before any work begins.
Paint condition
Vehicles with more defects require more correction before coating.
Contamination level
Bonded contamination must be fully removed before the coating bonds correctly.
Vehicle size
Larger vehicles have more surface area and take more time to prepare and coat.
Add-ons selected
Wheel, glass, textile, and LVP protection are priced individually.
