What It Is
How Paint Correction Actually Works.
Your vehicle's paint is made up of layers: primer, color coat and clear coat. The clear coat is what you see and what typically gets damaged. Swirl marks, fine scratches, and water spots all live in that clear coat layer. Paint correction uses machine polishers and abrasive compounds to carefully remove a controlled amount of clear coat, leveling the surface and eliminating the defects. Done correctly, the result is paint that reflects light cleanly and evenly. Done incorrectly, it removes too much clear coat and shortens the life of the paint. That's why experience and proper technique matter.
The Process
How We Approach Every Correction.
Wash & Decontamination
The vehicle is thoroughly washed, chemically decontaminated, and clay barred before any polishing begins. Correction on contaminated paint produces poor results and risks marring the surface.
Paint Thickness Measurement
Every vehicle is measured before correction begins. Knowing the available clear coat allows each panel to be corrected safely instead of relying on assumptions.
Test Spot
Before correcting the entire vehicle, a small test section is polished to determine the safest and most effective combination of pads, compounds, and polishing techniques.
Correction Stages
No two vehicles are corrected the same way. Each panel is evaluated individually to determine how much improvement can be achieved safely while preserving the integrity of the finish.
Panel Inspection
Each panel is inspected under high-intensity lighting after correction. Any remaining defects are addressed before moving on. We don't move to the next panel until the current one meets the standard.
Final Polish & Protection
A finishing polish removes any micro-marring left by the correction stages and brings the paint to its final clarity. A paint sealant or ceramic coating is then applied to protect the work.

Choosing the Right Level
Choosing the Right Level of Correction.
Not every vehicle needs the same level of work. We assess the paint condition, measure the clear coat, and recommend the appropriate approach. The goal is always to remove the defects while preserving as much clear coat as possible.
Single-Stage Polish
For vehicles with light defects: minor swirls, light water spots, dull paint. A single stage removes the majority of light defects and significantly improves gloss and clarity without heavy material removal.
Two-Stage Correction
For vehicles with moderate defects: heavier swirl marks, light scratches, oxidation. A cutting stage removes the damage; a finishing stage refines the surface to a clean, clear finish.
Multi-Stage Correction
For vehicles with severe defects: deep scratches, heavy oxidation, buffer trails from previous poor work. Multiple cutting and refining stages are required. This is the most time-intensive level of correction.

The number of stages, the time on each panel, the products used, and the total hours all depend on the severity of the defects, the thickness of the clear coat, the vehicle's paint history, and the level of correction you're looking for.
