A Different Approach
Motorcycles require more care, not less.
A motorcycle isn't a smaller version of a car. The surfaces are more exposed, the components more varied, and the working space more limited. Fuel tanks, fairings, fenders, chrome, polished aluminum, black trim, engine covers, and exhaust components all require different products and different techniques. A single bike can have five or six distinct surface types within a few inches of each other. That complexity demands a more deliberate approach, not a faster one.

Motorcycles accumulate contamination in ways cars don't. Bug protein bonds to fairings and windshields at highway speed. Road grime works into every crevice. Brake dust coats wheels and calipers. Chain lubricant residue migrates to surrounding surfaces. Water spots etch into chrome and polished aluminum. A proper motorcycle detail addresses all of it, not just the surfaces that are easy to reach.
Exterior wash and decontamination
A careful hand wash using products appropriate for each surface type, followed by chemical and mechanical decontamination to remove bonded contamination that a wash alone won't address.
Chrome and polished aluminum
Chrome and polished aluminum require specific products and technique. Abrasive cleaners or improper polishes will scratch or dull these surfaces permanently. They get the care they require.
Engine covers and exhaust
Engine covers, exhaust headers, and heat shields accumulate grease, road grime, and heat discoloration. These surfaces are cleaned carefully without disturbing seals, gaskets, or surrounding painted components.
Wheels and brake components
Motorcycle wheels and brake calipers are exposed to brake dust, chain lubricant, and road contamination. Each wheel is cleaned individually, including spokes, hubs, and caliper surfaces.
Painted plastics and fairings
Fairings, saddlebags, fenders, and painted plastics are washed, decontaminated, and protected. Matte finishes receive matte-safe products only. No gloss-enhancing compounds that would alter the finish.
Windshields
Motorcycle windshields accumulate bug residue and road film that can scratch if removed incorrectly. Dedicated plastic-safe cleaners and soft microfiber are used to clean without marring.
Motorcycle Paint Correction
Swirl marks and fine scratches don't belong on a bike you're proud of.
Motorcycle paint is subject to the same defects as automotive paint: swirl marks from improper washing, fine scratches from road debris, UV fading, and oxidation from years of exposure. The correction process is the same in principle, machine polishing to remove defects from the clear coat. The difference is scale and access. Motorcycle panels are smaller, more curved, and harder to reach. The work takes longer per square inch, not less.
Paint correction on a motorcycle is assessed the same way as a vehicle, in person, under proper lighting, before any work begins. The quote reflects what the paint actually needs.

Ceramic Coatings for Motorcycles

The same professional-grade ceramic coatings applied to vehicles in our studio are available for motorcycles. A ceramic coating chemically bonds to the surface, providing UV resistance, hydrophobic protection, chemical resistance, and significantly easier maintenance. For a motorcycle that spends time outdoors, in storage, or on long rides through varying conditions, a coating is one of the most practical investments you can make in its long-term appearance.
As with all ceramic coating work, painted surfaces must be properly prepared before a coating is applied. Any paint correction required is completed first.

Every motorcycle quote is built around the specific bike, its current condition, and what you want done. A Harley-Davidson touring bike with saddlebags and a full fairing is a different job than a naked sport bike or a vintage Honda. The services selected, the amount of paint correction required, the protection options chosen, and the overall condition of the bike all affect the scope and the price.
Motorcycle size and style
Touring bikes, baggers, and full-fairing sport bikes have significantly more surface area than naked or standard bikes.
Current condition
Heavily contaminated or neglected bikes require more time and product to bring back properly.
Paint correction required
The severity of swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation determines the correction stage and time required.
