This Ram came in with heavy swirl marks and water spot etching across all panels from years of automatic car washes. A two-stage paint correction removed the defects and restored the metallic depth before a 5-year ceramic coating was applied for long-term protection.

What we were working with.
The vehicle arrived with heavy swirl marks and water spot etching across all painted surfaces. Years of automatic car washes had left a web of fine scratches visible under direct light. The clear coat was intact but significantly compromised in gloss and depth.

How the work was done.

Inspection
Full paint thickness measurements taken across all panels. Defects mapped under high-intensity lighting to determine correction stages required.

Decontamination
Chemical decontamination followed by clay bar treatment to remove bonded surface contamination before any polishing began.

Two-Stage Correction
Heavy cutting compound to address water spot etching and deep swirls, followed by a finishing polish to refine the surface and maximize gloss.

Panel Inspection
Each panel inspected under high-intensity lighting after correction. Any remaining defects addressed before moving on.

Ceramic Coating
5-year ceramic coating applied in a controlled environment. Curing time observed before delivery.

Final Results
What was delivered.
The correction removed approximately 90% of visible defects. The metallic depth was fully restored and the ceramic coating left the surface with a level of gloss and hydrophobic protection the vehicle had never had from the factory. The owner reported the truck looked better than the day it was purchased.
